| Up to 75% of the net proceeds raised each year at the Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure remain in Northwest Ohio. No other race or breast cancer fundraiser allocates as much to local programs. Since its inception, the Komen Northwest Ohio Affiliate has given more than $3.8 million to fund breast cancer programs that directly benefit the 24 county service area. At least 25% of the net funds raised support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Program that is regarded as the most innovative and responsive grant program in breast cancer research today. |
